Meet the Heart-Throbs of Young at Heart Cotons

Distinguished Lineage

Home to Champion-Bred Cotons,
Recognised by the AKC

Our commitment to the health and well-being of our Cotons is unwavering. Our breeding dogs are health-tested and microchipped, meeting rigorous standards for temperament, health, and conformation. Every step is taken to guarantee the finest lineage for our cherished Cotons, who are lovingly home-raised by us or a trusted caretaker.

Both parent-breeding Cotons undergo comprehensive health testing, adhering strictly to the recommendations and guidelines set forth by Embark DNA for breed-specific hereditary and congenital diseases. Additionally, we meticulously follow the OFA health testing protocol, which includes assessments for the heart, patella, eyes, and hips.

To ensure full transparency, we provide access to Embark test results and the OFA CHIC number
for each Coton in our care.

Our Ladies

Grand Champion Showsilks Coton Life

Ingrid

In November 2022, four-month-old Ingrid journeyed from Kennel Showsilk in Norway to Pennsylvania with Katie. Their bond was immediate, a testament to Ingrid's sweet nature and striking appearance, marked by her soft, thick white coat and perfect pigmentation. Ingrid, showcasing her champion lineage, began her AKC conformation shows at six months and swiftly achieved grand champion status by 13 months and is now close to achieveing her Grand Champion Bronze title.

She notably won Best of Opposite Sex at the 2023 Purina National Dog Show. Beyond the show ring, Ingrid enjoys
a playful and loving life at home. As she nears 24 months, plans are underway to pair her with another grand champion, promising a bright future.

Young at Heart's Angeline

Angeline

Young at Heart's Angeline, affectionately known as "Angel," is a homebred Coton from our retired Angelique of Carolina Cotons and Nittany Pride of the Sweetest Cotons. Angeline truly lives up to her name, epitomizing sweetness with her beautiful pigmentation, thick white coat, and endearing nature. Her favorite pastime is lounging on her back, joyfully having her paws, belly, and ears rubbed.

Initially a bit shy, Angeline pleasantly surprised us this year with her debut in the show ring. She displayed remarkable confidence, captivating the judges and truly shining in her conformation. Angel's transformation from a reserved pet to a confident show dog is a delightful journey, showcasing her unique charm and potential.

Young at Heart's Sonata

Sonata

Retiring next year

Young at Hearts Sonata is one of our beloved homebred girls, proudly descended from our retired Coton, Sarabi. Sonata, true to her melodious name, hails from a distinguished lineage that includes Young at Heart, Cotonbrie, and Sweetest Coton ancestors.

Her sire, Nittany Pride of the Sweetest Cotons, and her grandfather, Leon King (Simba) of Cotonbrie, contribute to her exceptional pedigree.

Sonata’s disposition is sweet and sociable. She loves children and enjoys socializing with both dogs and humans alike.

Sonata has already had one beautiful litter and is expecting another soon with our handsome Lille Pil.

Certified by both Embark and CHIC, Sonata began her AKC conformation journey last year, performing with elegance and grace. We look forward to showcasing her again later this year.

Young at Heart's Isabella

Isabella

Isabella, fondly nicknamed "Juju Bear," is a cherished Young at Heart homebred Coton, born from the union of No Regreta Greta of Orchard Cotons and Sir LayneCelot of CCC. Endearingly characterized by her ever-present tongue, signaling her readiness for play and affection, Isabella captures hearts effortlessly.

Her coat, silky and adorned with light apricot splashes, complements her beautiful pigmentation and form. We absolutely adore her, as she embodies a delightful spirit, making her a beloved member of our family. Her playful and cuddly nature, combined with her striking appearance, truly makes Isabella a special and treasured companion.

Our Gents

Champion Kraerlighetens Gardsgutt Alfred "Pil"

Lille Pil

Lille Pil, meaning "little arrow," captured our hearts upon joining Young at Heart in 2023 from Norway. He hails from Kennel Showsilk, the same as Ingrid. Pil's journey to us was born out of necessity when his previous caregiver, unable to keep him, offered him to us. Already an accomplished show dog adorned with ribbons and accolades, Pil had made a name for himself. Tom and I journeyed to Norway to meet and welcome him into our family. Adapting beautifully, Pil has affectionately claimed us as "his humans."

Katie has been showcasing him in the USA, where he is quickly gaining recognition. At the 2023 Purina National Dog Show in Philadelphia, he performed admirably as the reserve dog. Notably, Lille Pil has sired a litter of beautiful, healthy, and stunning all-white puppies, marking a promising start to his legacy here.

Nittany Pride The Sweetest Coton (Poland)

Nittany

Nittany Pride made his journey with Katie 9 years ago from Warsaw Poland.  Nittany is from The Sweetest Cotons kennel.  Nittany was 4 months old when he came into our arms and immediately bonded with Katie. He is our complete lover boy and would love for Katie to carry him draped across her shoulder 24/7!  He is a handsome boy with perfect pigmentation, form, and a thick mainly white coat.  He started out tri-colored, but has mainly faded to white with dosages of grey in his ears.

He comes from incredible champion ancestry with his father Lennon John and Dam Darling as European champions.  His favorite thing to do is twirl for treats, charm everyone and take walks through Lowes and
Home Depot with Tom. He’s given us the most stunning healthy puppies.

In 2024, Katie exhibited Nittany for the first time. He wowed the judges, appearing like he had always been in the ring. His multi-champion father, Lennon John of The Sweetest Cotons, would have been so proud.

Honoring Our Retired Girls

Cherished Memories & Continued Lineage

We honor our retired Cotons from the last few years. After 4-5 litters our females, if vet-approved, they retire to live out their best lives with us, trusted friends and family. Thanks to the great health and longevity of the breed, as well as our rigorous health testing, our retired Cotons may live another 10-12 years! We have carried on their lineage with many of our current breeding Cotons.

We love all of them, and those living with friends and family visit us often.

Heartfelt love and tribute goes to the foundation Cotons that began this heart journey for us twenty years ago.
❤️Scarlet and Star Anise of Carolina Cotons

❤️Asia and Angelica of Cotonbrie

They all lived long and happy lives.

Star Anise just passed over the rainbow bridge this year at 19 years old.

We loved you all, and all we were privileged to have in our gentle care.
We are committed to a future that preserves this stunning and darling breed that keeps us..

SHOW-STOPPERS

The year 2023 marked a thrilling chapter for Young at Heart Cotons. ShowSilks Coton Life Ingrid not only became a Champion but also impressively achieved grand champion status by 13 months and is now progressing towards her Grand Champion Bronze. Lille Pil achieved his AKC championship in 2025, while Paw-Wows Thunder Thor achieved his AKC conformation championship on April 12, 2024.

This year in 2026,  both GaLinda and Dreama Sue achieved their AKC conformation Championships.
Two other homebred Cotons out of Ingrid and Belvedere’s litter became Champions in 2026:

Young at Heart’s Prelude To An Afternoon with a Faun “ Claude” owned by Michelle Fratus & Young at Heart’s Razzmatazz at The Sweetest Coton owned by Karolina Daszkiewicz.

Claude was also showcased this year at Westminster dog show in NYC.

In 2024, we were excited to introduce Young at Heart's Sonata, Nittany and Angeline to the show ring , all three showing great potential.

  • Our exceptional handlers, Mitchell and Jon Fox have been instrumental in advancing Ingrid, Thor, Lille Pil & GaLinda in their careers.

  • Katie, is now an owner handler and championed our Dreama Sue this year.

Katie is excited about showcasing more Young at Heart homebred Cotons in future competitions.
